Load the file in another grib viewer (zygrib, adrena, opencpn, squid, whatever) to check if it is correct or not.
Good morning Philippe.

Yesterday I've made the sugested test with zxyGrib on two consecutive WRF gribs and got the same problem: only a 24 hr period.
I'll have a go with Adrena and open, and be back after.
Sail Fair.
Then the problem is not in qtVlm, but in the grib file itself...
Ok, back.
And the news are not good.

Both Adrena and openCPN have the same problema: they can't load the WRF Grib file to full extent.

If the common denominator is the GRIB file, the problem is there.

I'll contact Eddie / "brainaid" with c/c to Huib.

Thank you Philippe.
Sail Fair.

Except that for me, it's a good news ;)
Viva all.

I'm having an issue in the "Import" qT routes using a "*.json" file format previously exported from qT (with the same format).

It doesn't work.

Post annotated by kroppyer-admin :
sol's display name was changed to glenan by someone (now reverted). You were logged on as sol when you posted.
What is happening?
The previous post (the json file import issue) was made by me (psail), not glenan!?!
Sail Fair.
Ok, fixed, thanks for reporting it.
Hello,

We are almost ready to release qtVlm 5.4.0. Maybe you want to give it a try and check that nothing is broken concerning SOL?

There is a beta version for windows available here:
http://www.virtual-winds.org/maitai/qtvlm_setup_5.4.0-beta4.exe

Thanks,
Philippe
Hi Philippe.
For your information I have just posted this in the english chatrooms of the present ongoing races, The Valletta sprint and the RTWR 2016:

QtVlm users - read this ! maitai posted this in forum: "We are almost ready to release qtVlm 5.4.0. Maybe you want to give it a try and check that nothing is broken concerning SOL?
"There is a beta version for windows available here: http://www.virtual-winds.org/maitai/qtvlm_setup_5.4.0-beta4.exe Thanks, Philippe"
Changes in the beta:
• New Raster module, faster and able to read kaps, geotiff, geojpeg, etc
• Add CAPE data in route's log and in routes comparator
• Add a parameter to specify a maximum CAPE value in Weather Routing Module
• Add a possibility to compare actual boat's speed with polar speed in board
• Add a configurable minimum threshold for rain in routes comparator
• Columns can now be shown or hidden in routes comparator and route's log
• Start and arrivals points in routing are now persistent
• Add an option to extend last grib date for Currents gribs
• Add the possibility of sending a POI to GPS or other navigation system
Various fixes and optimizations

If you choose to test this, please give maitai a feedback in this forum post: http://sailonline.org/board/thread/14339/qtvlm-thread/?page=6#post-14601

Sinbad Seeks Spices 2023
Having surveyed Arabia, Sinbad Al-SOL’er next invites you to race him on his second of seven epic voyages to every corner of the Indian Ocean and beyond, this time to seek spices in Zanzibar, departing from Xaafun, a trading post on the tip of the Horn of Africa since the days of the Mycenaeans and on through Roman times to the Nights of 1,001 of AL-Sail’or, Al-SOL’er’s illustrious ancestor. SOLing by the sun and the stars, aka seat-of-the-pants, the voyage will take you east as far as Praslin island, south as far as Anjouan, to Zanzibar’s Unguja for all things spices, but only back as far as Mogidishu – another exhausting 3000nm adventure, this time in Reichel/Pugh 66s.
