	Version 3.0.3 fixes the map polygon rendering order problem with the Lake Superior Lights. I still need to work out how to bring the grid back in the lakes, but the islands are now visible. 	Version 3.0.4 fixes the map polygon rendering order problem with the Lake Superior Lights with grids now visible.

	Version 3.0.5 now really fixes the map polygon rendering problem with the Lake Superior Lights. For the fix to work, in any of your race folders, you must delete any map files that exist in the race folder maps directory that are named with race_<race id>.map. For this race, you must delete the file race_1092.map and then restart AGL. This version has a couple of new features that are not yet documented. You can toggle the DC text on and off, and toggle the wind barbs on and off. Hover on the button to see what they do.

	There were still a few problems in 3.0.5 with polygons not being visible. The routine to change the polygon direction (clockwise / anti-clockwise) was not working. Version 3.0.6 fixes this problem. Remember, for the fix to work you must delete any map files that exist in the race folder maps directory that are named with race_<race id>.map. 	There is a problem in 3.0.6 for a race straddling 180E where the new libraries I'm using were forcing the longitude to be between -180 and 180. This in turn caused the Mercator projections to fail. Version 3.0.7 fixes this problem. For the fix to work you must delete race_1098.map if that file exists in the race folder maps directory and then restart AGL.

	There are a few problems with the maps as stored on the server which have manifested themselves in this race. I have been meaning to clean up the maps for a while and did that last night. maps_v2.zip which is here fixes the problems. To install theses maps, download maps_V2.zip and do the following 1. Close any running AGLs. 2. In your tile library, rename maps to maps.old 3. Unzip maps_V2.zip into your tile library folder. You should now have a maps and a maps.old folder in there. 4. Delete race_1104.map from the maps folder of your Melbourne to Hong Kong race folder 5. Restart AGL. 6. Delete maps.old

Round Greenland 2024

Just as Skip Novak was embarking for Kamchatsky, Amyr Klink also quietly slipped his Antarctica moorings and by now Paratii 2 has reached Reykjavik, where he invites you to join him on Leg 5 of our High Latitudes Series, a full 3650nm circumnavigation of Greenland. The course is clockwise round, so down the North Atlantic to Cape Farewell, then up the Davis Strait into Baffin Bay and on into the Arctic Ocean proper, where, hopefully and certainly virtually, Paratii 2’s special ice-breaker features will get us thorough the summer ice out onto the Greenland Sea and back to Reykjavik. San Francisco to Ushuaia 2024

After a superlong RTW-leg3 (27 days), we have had a month to recover, and maintain our boat, in order to continue our around the world race. Leg 4, even longer than the previous, takes us from California to the world's southernmost city Ushuaia. No waypoints, even "the Ditch" is an option, but maybe a bit too much of a treat. With 6300 nm to go, the estimated duration of this race 29 days. This course is also the August edition of our ocean race championship.
