	The NMEA sentences for waypoints only support the standard ASCII character set, and as a result, qtVlm is ignoring those that do not conform. A work around is to edit the race info xml file. Do the following. 1. Shut down AGL and qtVlm. 2. Open auth_raceinfo_1185.xml in the SOLGribxml folder with a text editor. 3. Look for the waypoint <name> lines with special characters e.g. <waypoint> <order>2</order> <name>Villösan</name> 4. Replace the ö with and o e.g, <waypoint> <order>2</order> <name>Villosan</name> 5. Repeat for all special characters in waypoint names. 6. Save the changes 7. Restart AGL and make sure Monitor Race Messages is not checked (or your changes will be overwritten) 8. Restart qtVlm and connect.

	Version 3.1.3 is now available which fixes grib extents issue with the X2X race. If you have set up AGL correctly in the past according to the install instructions, you should only have to download put AutoGribLoader 3 1 3.jar in the same folder as the old version (e.g. AutoGribLoader 3 1 2.jar), and then download and run AGVersion.bat. This will cause AG.bat to now use the correct version. Both these files are in the root of the OneDrive folder link.

	Version 3.2.0 is now available which has several enhancements and must be installed by all qtVlm users. The change allows qtVlm to filter out SOL AIS data and not send fake data to AISHUB. 	Thank you Andrew for the update. Just a question, the font size is smaller, there is a way to change it in the AGL settings? See the file. 	I've released a new version (3.2.1) that remaps the extended ASCII character set to the standard character set recognised by NMEA. e.g. Æ will map to AE, ø will map to o and so on. Follow the link from the previous release to get the new one.

Sinbad Seeks Spices 2023
Having surveyed Arabia, Sinbad Al-SOL’er next invites you to race him on his second of seven epic voyages to every corner of the Indian Ocean and beyond, this time to seek spices in Zanzibar, departing from Xaafun, a trading post on the tip of the Horn of Africa since the days of the Mycenaeans and on through Roman times to the Nights of 1,001 of AL-Sail’or, Al-SOL’er’s illustrious ancestor. SOLing by the sun and the stars, aka seat-of-the-pants, the voyage will take you east as far as Praslin island, south as far as Anjouan, to Zanzibar’s Unguja for all things spices, but only back as far as Mogidishu – another exhausting 3000nm adventure, this time in Reichel/Pugh 66s.
