	I've put up a new version which is available here called AGL_14_2_4_update.zip and is an update as per the install instructions in the manual. To use, select NOAA, number of days to get and grib resolution. The Get PRMSL will include the pressure grib. It will create two files, e.g.GFS NOAA 1413 2020120700 1p00.grb2 and GFS PRT NOAA 1413 2020120700 1p00.grb2. The PRT one picks up from where the SOL grib finishes. Use that one in your router so you don't get overlapping and conflicting gribs. The other is the full grib. Note that the full 16 days download finishes about an hour after SOL publishes its grib.

	Kipper - I can't find AGL_14_2_4_update.zip in that folder. I have AGL_14_2_4_update.rar but it does nothing, even if the extension is changed to .zip. ???

	I've put up a new version which is available here called AGL_14_2_6_update.zip and is an update as per the install instructions in the manual. I've improved the GFS download to include the Pressure gribs (if selected) into the PRT file from the start of the gribs. This will allow a pressure overlay at all times, not just when GFS takes over from SOL. I've also added four new commands to the DC Checker right click dropdown called Tack, Gybe, Max Up and Max Down. These will tack or gybe the boat including performance loss minimisation (with confirmation of commands before being applied). The other two simply adjust the twa to Max VMG, either upwind(Up) or downwind (Down). IJ has also update the linux scripts so that AGL works under linux. I've asked him to pop a reply here on what you need to do to get it to work.

	I've put up a new version which is available here called AGL_14_2_9_update.zip and is an update as per the install instructions in the manual. I accidentally forgot to include the tack, gybe and VMG functionality in 2.8, plus fixed the http 403 issue which was happening when the IP address changed. I still have no idea why some are seeing the SSL errors with the NOAA downloader. It does not happen to me, so I can't debug. --- Last Edited by Kipper1258 at 2021-04-11 06:23:09 ---

	There is a module missing from the Java Runtime Environment which is causing this issue. For windows users, download Java14_windows_update.zip, linux users, Java14_linux_update.zip and MacOS users, Java14 MacOS update.zip. Shutdown all instances of AGL and unzip the file as though you are applying an AGL update. Respond Yes to overwrite any existing files. Once unzipped, you can restart AGL.

	Kipper, I'm fully new on SOL, I try to use AGL (what a great job!) with using the AGL 14 User Manual. But I'can't use it because I've this message when "apply" => "TOKEN IS ERROR, TRYING AGAIN", I don't understand as I have followed all items of the manual. I'm very desapointed Where I can find an update manual, surrely I miss something Is it necessary to use a proxy connection? Many thanks At the moment I use QtVLM, by the way I also play on VLM jp as CartonnSailor Jean-Pierre as Box

Sailonline's Tall Ships Re-Run 2023 - Lisbon to Cadiz

Welcome back to a re-run of the fifth and last of five virtual races representing this year's European Tall Ships Races hosted in reality by Sail Training International. This fifth race is from Lisboa, Portugal to Cadiz, Andalusia; circa 130nm around Cape St Vincent in Sailonline’s 90 metre Barque.

Maryland to Alaska 2023
Welcome to this September edition of 2023 OCCH. This route was first sailed in 2020. At the time it was inspired by Matt Rutherford's single-handed Red Dot Expedition around the Americas in 2012, SOLer Renegade proposing a half-around from Maryland over the North into the Pacific and back through the Panama Canal, in 5 legs, 5 years later. Leg 2 across the North West Passage proved to be particularly challenging and so to create a proper Ocean Race, SRC combined Leg 2 with Leg 1 to give you a race of at least 4000nm from Maryland to Alaska, now to be sailed in our magnificent Archer 78.
