Im trying to use AGL to collect data for input to Qvtlm. NMEA data can not connect to my port 501 (im using imac, hi sierra). I have tried about seven different number combinations (5001 5011 5050 5070...even 6969)_ and still not connecting to the port. Any suggestions pls?

Firstly, are you getting any errors in AGL like Port in use? Secondly, you don't have any old AGL's running (that have crashed and you can't see the screen anymore). Thirdly, what error message are you getting in qt? And finally, have you got qt configured correctly? The attach snapshots are of my settings

It seems AGL is not able to connect to my computer port to end the NMEA info.
I thought that once i get the NMEA info on AGL, qt will then automatically import it. Problem is, that if my comuter is not getting the AGL data then qt will not have anything to read.

here is the error on qt... i need to set it up so it read the 6969 port, but the error will be the same. ill ouble check and send ss.

OK... now AGL has new info re Port 6969....it appears port 6969 was connected, then it closed... see attached ss.

Bimmer, thx for the note. ive tried 5010 repeatedly and it did not work. it must be some thing with the way my imac is set up. i will need to find a mac user.

Welcome to Auckland and, for the fifth time in Sailonline's history, an epic race to the Melanesian island of Fiji, some 1144nm away. The iconic Steinlager 2 has traditionally been our boat of choice for this event, including in 2020, the last time we raced the course – alone, unaccompanied by a real fleet as it had been #COVID19 quarantined. Alas, this year we will again be racing unaccompanied as low entry numbers has seen the real race cancelled. Hopefully, though, some of the real sailors from the Royal Akarana YC, hosts of the real event, will be joining us online to pit their skills against ours in the ever-changing forecast winds.

Susan Hood Trophy Race 2023

Lake Ontario Offshore Racing (LOOR) welcomes racers to the third virtual Susan Hood Trophy race. This is a 75nm weekender on western Lake Ontario starting and finishing at the Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC) via Niagara and Burlington, and is one of two that will count towards a special Sailonline's LOOR Series medals. As our Beneteau First 36.7 managed the course so well in previous years, we shall race her again!
