	It seems that the list in SailOnline race archive original.xls not complete. I can't find Miami to Kingstown dec 02nd Rome to Tripoli dec 06th Round White Island Race nov 26th Round White Island Race 2 dec 15th Dubai to Muskat Race nov 25th etc. Ernestas (ernissss) LT

	Correct erniss. These files go until November 2009, as I have indicated in my post. Mid-November 2009 in fact, when the race committee started its work. The race committee is mainly using these two files to find older races that can be rerun. 	This is my humble proposal for a race offshore of Rio de Janeiro. The circuit is based on an actual race that I sailed a few times. There are some modifications to make more exciting for Sol. I designed the race in Google Earth as per Francois (Incognito) tutorial. This is my first time working in Google Earth, so please review it as necessary. 	Nice race, Antonio. When does the real one take place? Is there a web page? Two remarks regarding the kmz file: - You should give a name to the start, the waypoints, and the finish. Example: 'Copacabana - Waypoint 5' - I would merge the invitation into the description, perhaps as follows: 'A 460 NM race in the waters offshore of Rio de Janeiro. For those of us tired of shovelling snow and walking in boots, an opportunity to wear flimsy T-shirts and flip-flops. We set sail from the Iate Clube of Rio de Janeiro, then head to the magnificent city of Buzios, turn around to beautiful Ilhabela, and finish in Rio.'

	Hi Francois, Here it is the updated "kmz" file with your comments. I really don't know if they still do this race in RL. This was 20+ years ago when I still lived overthere. We used to sail on 1/2tonners and OneTonners. It was a 3 days affair. Here on SOL we could do (I think) in less than 48hours on a VO70. Maybe even less if we get good winds. Also, the real race didn't allow to go thru the Ilhabela strait, but for SOL this would more interesting. Note that in the leg from Rio to Buzios there are many little island that here on SOL we will be able to cut corners and again make the race more interesting. The idea here is to re-live my childhood. I hope we all have fun. It will all depend on the wind. If we get a weekend with light winds this could turn into a painful race. SOL's Bermuda Triangle TIMED Race 2023
Inspired by the America’s Cup racing in Bermuda, this is a fun triangular course of 90nm, which we originally raced with psail and bonkhoot’s collaborative polar for the AC72 foiling catamaran. Having tried the course in the more pedestrian Open 60 in 2021, this year we return to the AC72, in fact to the MODIFIED AC72v2, modified to remove the inconsistencies that obtained from the original interpolation of the limited data issued by the AC 2003 Principal Race Officer in connection with penalties determination. This is a TIMED race, which means you get multiple chances to try out the ramifications of the revisions. Be careful though, the polar remains a handling challenge with major stall-out potential!

Christmas to Christmas Island 2023
Two waypoints, start and finish, and between them 5827 NM of two oceans. Not much time if we want to sit at the Christmas Eve table. You will need to maintain an average speed of over 10 knots, so prepare your Volvo70s well and choose the best of the many possible routes. Hands up everyone who knew there were TWO Christmas Islands?! OK, maybe you have sailed this Sailonline course before... but it's time to get ready for the 2023 challenge of racing between Christmas Island in the Pacific to Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean! It also marks the conclusion of our prestigious Ocean Race Championship 2023. Please have fun! Fair winds!

Finland-Sweden Archipelago Raid 2023
In 2013, SOLer "JakeS" in cooperation with "Smo" created his own version of the extreme Archipelago Raid catamaran race. The real race through the beautiful Finnish and Swedish archipelago is considered a "nightmare and a great adventure", so in our sixth run of this challenge at 415 nautical miles, our determination and skills will be tested again! This year, we changed the Italia14.98 to a Cape 31. Take care when cornering and brake early enough.
