	Now that would be fun... does one of our existing polars perform similarly? we could rename it for the race? Or is Falcun so new and so different that we should just admire her lines as we charge past in our Orange Cats??!!

	All the suggestions so far are good. Last word from 505, I think. Not really the most complicated polar, as they don't set flying sails and reduce hoisted area progressively. It's pretty fast though. Comes with half a dozen smaller sailboat as playthings... You used to be able to see Maltese Falcon under construction on Google Earth, but I can't find her close to launching anymore. The bare hull is there prior to fitting out. 	interesting suggestion by 76trombnes however i am afraid that not many of us can afford the rental fee of Euro 400K per week...after reviewing the polars of the falcon and 125 cat with poor close reach capabilities i am more inclined to suggest 90ft mono hull as we will have to do quite lot of upwind sailing and crossing the two straights will be less painful...

	Lol A2 ...and the fate of the Maltese Falcon remains a mystery to this day. Good choice - It'll be nice to sail a boat designed to go upwind for a change!

Sailonline's Tall Ships Re-Run 2023 - Lisbon to Cadiz

Welcome back to a re-run of the fifth and last of five virtual races representing this year's European Tall Ships Races hosted in reality by Sail Training International. This fifth race is from Lisboa, Portugal to Cadiz, Andalusia; circa 130nm around Cape St Vincent in Sailonline’s 90 metre Barque.
NOTE: Starts and Finishes in tall ships racing are always offshore to avoid conflict with shipping and shipping lanes.

Sinbad Braves the Bay of Bengal 2023

Maryland to Alaska 2023
Welcome to this September edition of 2023 OCCH. This route was first sailed in 2020. At the time it was inspired by Matt Rutherford's single-handed Red Dot Expedition around the Americas in 2012, SOLer Renegade proposing a half-around from Maryland over the North into the Pacific and back through the Panama Canal, in 5 legs, 5 years later. Leg 2 across the North West Passage proved to be particularly challenging and so to create a proper Ocean Race, SRC combined Leg 2 with Leg 1 to give you a race of at least 4000nm from Maryland to Alaska, now to be sailed in our magnificent Archer 78.
