	To make rankings more interesting, it might be a good idea to have more than one SYC ranking list. The idea is to have different division split by experience and time spent on SOL, so that less experienced or competitive driving SOLers are still able to compete for a place in the rankings. A new SOLer would start in the "Entry" devision and work his way up the rankings inside this devision. The top boat of the devision eventually enter the next higher devision. The poll is meant to figure some scheme for this that might be considered fair. If there are other ideas next to the options in the poll, please state them, so we have your input to think about... _/)_/)_/) The sea is lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to sail before I sleep, And miles to sail before I sleep.

	Good idea. Maybe we could have one division for SOLers who use routing/weather software and one division for those without? Cheers.

	Yes good idea, voted for 1st choice... Rookies and Pro sailors Rookies change division after 50 or 60 races

	If Eddie is able to do this, Great. My experience on SOL was like this; Joined last year this time; First 15 races Average finish 120 Next 15 races Average finish 106 Next 15 races Average finish 59 I then started trying to better my worst score in order to improve my overall rating, presently around 23. I moved through the ranks so to speak! My only reward so far....Experience

	I am all for it. In fact, I've been working on an outline but work got in the way. I'll try and post it here tomorrow or the day after so we can discuss it. Thanks for the heads up. Philip

	Totally AGAINST it, i personally don't need the glory of the podium, and IF i leave some good sailors behind me, occasionally ( because they sleep lol)i am happy... But, IF it would be possible to have a ranking NON- SOFTWARE users versus Software/Routing users , THAT would make sense to me!!! Calamity

Sail Around Turkey 2023

This is one of Sailonline's iconic and more challenging races. Our IMOCA 60 Foil high-speed yachts will sail across three seas (Black Sea, Sea of Marmara, Mediterranean Sea) and two beautiful straits (Strait of Istanbul - Bosphorus and Strait of Canakkale - Dardanelles). Altogether 1372 nm of great and demanding sailing from Hopa (the easternmost point of the Turkish Black Sea coast) to Iskenderun (the easternmost point of Turkey's Mediterranean coast). Get ready for a lot of fun; we are waiting for you at the starting line.

Sinbad Seeks Spices 2023
Having surveyed Arabia, Sinbad Al-SOL’er next invites you to race him on his second of seven epic voyages to every corner of the Indian Ocean and beyond, this time to seek spices in Zanzibar, departing from Xaafun, a trading post on the tip of the Horn of Africa since the days of the Mycenaeans and on through Roman times to the Nights of 1,001 of AL-Sail’or, Al-SOL’er’s illustrious ancestor. SOLing by the sun and the stars, aka seat-of-the-pants, the voyage will take you east as far as Praslin island, south as far as Anjouan, to Zanzibar’s Unguja for all things spices, but only back as far as Mogidishu – another exhausting 3000nm adventure, this time in Reichel/Pugh 66s.
