I, who was an opponent of the router before, have realized that it´s not worth anything to begin putting too much boundaries and putting everybody in the same box. You just have to accept that there will be different opportunities out there, just like that we have more or less time to spend on this. I also believe that those who sail with router runs a small risk of being wrong if they rely on the router too much. They must, after all, to think a little longer than 6 hours, just like the rest of us.

Besides ... it is possible to beat them ...

Round Gotland Race

Hi all!

Thanks for racing Round Gotland Race. It was a pleasure to race IRL and to add that to this virtual race. To bad there was tecnical problems whit the starting procedure and our gunshot come at 11:15utc. At the beginning of the race we gaining on you and even overtake you for a while But after our "6-hour windhole" between Hoburgen and Knolls Groud it was to much distance to catch.

Congrats to Winston for victory!!

In the real race we lost a lot last leg and went from #6th down to #17th...so I am a bit disapointed. Last year we end up as #4 so our realistic goal this year was to get the podium. Better luck next time I guess
If I take our sailed time on course I ended up on the 34th place, between Ailara and Ned Leo, here on SOL.
I hope you all got more sleep than I... only 3 hours totaly for me...so I am glad to have one more week of vaccation..)

Thx again and extra Thanks to RainbowChaser and "her commitycrew" for making this race.

Hello all

Clarifying

Svandinavian Tour and Åland sea race is not the same race
There will be a Scandinavian Tour Leg2 but no start-time is set up yet. If I have understood everything right, Rainbow will set up next leg asap and ofcourse it must be a suitable gap in the Racecalender.

BTW, try this man... Hans Mäkinen at hans@ksss.se He is the Commercial Director of this event and have responsible for partnership and things like that. I don´t know him personaly by it is worth a try I guess. The race is needed more visibility and they are doing some changes to get that vis.

Yes, most of us use trackers and it would be easy to follow us I think Atleast "Xperia" have a good tracker... Be back with more info as I said before. Have to take care of myself now... so damn tired after working day and night since saturday...( Later

Ohh, I missed that...sorry. I´ve been looking almost every day but didn´t find it there...

About the Round Gotland Race.. I´ll have a look and ask some... BB later with that. Would be fun to race that with "X-35"... I´ll do it IRL I´m sure we have what is needed to follow and try to beat )

Round Greenland 2024

Just as Skip Novak was embarking for Kamchatsky, Amyr Klink also quietly slipped his Antarctica moorings and by now Paratii 2 has reached Reykjavik, where he invites you to join him on Leg 5 of our High Latitudes Series, a full 3650nm circumnavigation of Greenland. The course is clockwise round, so down the North Atlantic to Cape Farewell, then up the Davis Strait into Baffin Bay and on into the Arctic Ocean proper, where, hopefully and certainly virtually, Paratii 2’s special ice-breaker features will get us thorough the summer ice out onto the Greenland Sea and back to Reykjavik. Stay warm!
